☪ There is strong evidence that cancer screening uptake is significantly low in ethnic minorities and especially lower amongst the British Muslim community.

We know that screening saves lives!

❇5,000 deaths are prevented by cervical screening each year
✴2,400 bowel cancer deaths are avoided through screening
❇Breast screening prevents 300 women dying of breast cancer every year!

🦠The COVID-19 pandemic has also impacted negatively on health outcomes as people are delaying seeking help for worrying symptoms.

Health professionals from the local jamaats will be delivering a talk on the importance of Cancer screening - 1st November 2020 from 2-4pm

The talk will be live on the KSIMC Mehfil - E - Abbas Youtube channel in which you can ask questions via the comments section on youtube or by messaging the number below. We would like to invite everyone to this and therefore will also summarise points during the talk in Gujurati and Urdu
