▪️ Position of Building Committee Chair
Following the correspondence from the Executive Committee on the 13th June advertising the position of Building Committee chair, the EC has received an expression of interest from 4 potential candidates for post of the Chair of the Building Committee. At the EC meeting held on 8th July 2022, the following motion has been passed to allow the EC enough time to meet all the candidates and to understand each of their ideas.
Pursuant to Clause 16.2 of the Constitution and in relation to the selection of the interim Building Committee Chair, the Executive Committee, RESOLVES that it is in the best interest of the community, for the Executive Committee to perform due process and ensure each candidate has the ability to present their reasons for standing and to assess their capabilities. As such the Executive Committee RESOLVES that a further 28 days, but with due haste from 9th July 2022 will be required to conclude the appointment. The Executive Committee shall further propose to the AGM a ratification of this measure and inform the Charity Commission of the same together with the reasons.
